About the Folks I Work With
The clients Chris works with typically identify as being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and are coping with the impact of trauma. Chris also works with individuals struggling with generalized or social anxiety, death anxiety, or depression. Many folks they work with are neuro-divergent, and experience symptoms of ADHD or are on the Autism spectrum. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor, Chris is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor I if there are additional needs for support around addiction.
Chris would be a good fit for those who may like to include holistic or alternative approaches into their therapeutic practices to include spirituality, astrology, tarot, ritual practices, and meditation. They are client centered, meaning they will support your path to healing, whichever path your inner wisdom is calling for.
Chris has training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and is currently working towards becoming trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma. Chris also uses "parts work" on a regular basis to assist client's in getting to know their inner child, inner managers, and other parts that contribute to their inner life.
